Holy Week Worship Schedule
Join us on a journey as we retrace Jesus's steps, beginning with his triumphant entry into Jerusalem, his trial and execution, and finally, the empty tomb and his Resurrection on Easter. Throughout the week, we offer special services designed to help us immerse ourselves in the story and gain a fresh perspective on these significant events.

Advent: Watching for Jesus Day 1

Watching and Waiting with Love

Then the king will say to those on his right, ‘Come, my Father has blessed you! Inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the creation of the world. I was hungry, and you gave me something to eat. I was thirsty, and you gave me something to drink. I was a stranger, and you took me into your home. I needed clothes, and you gave me something to wear. I was sick, and you took care of me. I was in prison, and you visited me… I can guarantee this truth: Whatever you did for one of my brothers or sisters, no matter how unimportant they seemed, you did for me.’ Matthew 25: 34-36, 40 GW

Jesus came near, rubbed elbows with us. He tells us that when we serve those whose needs cross our path, we serve him in anticipation of his return. Keep watch and see Jesus all around you, people under your roof, people in your neighborhood, people in your workplace. Talk to Jesus about how you can honor His Kingdom by looking, living, and loving more like Him in one intentional way every day from here to Christmas. You might form an intention in the morning during your time with God or the Spirit may point one out to you during the day. This week – see Jesus and come near to him. Listen to people He loves. At the end of each day write down something new that you learned about someone that day. Make it a prayer.
