Girl's Night Out - With Comedian Amy Barnes | October 27
Engineer turned comedian, Amy Barnes, started her stand-up career in Seattle, appearing at comedy clubs around town while working days as an engineer in aerospace. It wasn’t long before she had to choose between the two career paths and, in a striking blow to the Girls In STEM Movement, she chose comedy.
After moving to Los Angeles, she began working as a comedy writer, writing for dozens of comedians and actors including Nancy Travis, Bonnie Hunt, Jack Black, and Morgan Freeman. She has appeared on Comedy Central and the National Lampoon Network. Amy is now a nationally touring act with over 60 dates a year and frequently appears to capacity crowds at theaters, churches, and conference events.
Married since 2002 to comedian and writer, Jerry Miner, Amy now resides in the Pacific Northwest with their 2 kids where she has accumulated some even bigger credits including dance mom, YMCA member, and PTA President.
Most importantly, she has a heart for women and is like no other stand-up comedian you have seen. Amy's comedy is a lot of fun and accessible to women at all stages of life.
Discover Trinity | November 18
Membership is an often misunderstood term. We often see membership as a conditional and limited arrangement; one that we can terminate anytime membership in an organization no longer proves beneficial. As one commercial used to say, “membership has its privileges.”
But being a member of a church is something different all together! Being a part of a church is about walking together in faith. It is about mutual commitments to one another as we become more like Christ and live out His mission in the world. So at Trinity we talk about being a part of the Trinity family.
DISCOVER Trinity is a time to learn about what it means to be a part of this family. Over the course of an hour, we will have a chance to share stories, talk about the mission of the church, and discuss our own roles as a part of this community called Trinity.
This is a time to ask questions and to learn. Conversation is open and informal. So if you're looking for a church home or still exploring, we invite you to join us.
