Discover Trinity Kimberly Way | September 3

DiscoverBanner

Membership is an often misunderstood term. We often see membership as a conditional and limited arrangement; one that we can terminate anytime membership in an organization no longer proves beneficial. As one commercial used to say, “membership has its privileges.”

But being a member of a church is something different altogether! Being a part of a church is about walking together in faith. It is about mutual commitments to one another as we become more like Christ and live out His mission in the world. So at Trinity, we talk about being a part of the Trinity family.

Discover Trinity is a time to learn about what it means to be a part of this family. Over the course of an hour, we will have a chance to share stories, talk about the mission of the church, and discuss our own roles as a part of this community called Trinity.

This is a time to ask questions and to learn. Conversation is open and informal. So if you're looking for a church home or still exploring, we invite you to join us.

Crossways (Wednesday Class) | September 13section_5

Meet Jesus on Crossways’ Grand Tour Through the Gospels.

Mark starts by saying, “The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.” Each word is packed with meaning. Got questions? Now’s your chance!

Matthew shows us the connections between the Old Testament and Jesus’ ministry. Jesus tells us what it is to be a citizen in the Kingdom of God. Learn to take steps as a citizen.

Luke lets us listen in on Jesus the master story teller. When we look deeply at his teaching you will be challenged to expand your horizons. You’ll see his ministry and the mission he has given to you in a new light.

Finally, we’ll study Jesus through John’s eyes. “Behold the Lamb of God!” John speaks the gospel using entirely different vocabulary and image. We’ll grapple with Jesus, the Way, the Truth, the Life.

We’ll also begin to look at these teachings in the life and Acts of the early church and heresies ancient and modern. Ten weeks starting September 13/14, Wednesdays at 9:00 am or Thursdays at 7:00 pm. Meeting at TKW rm 200. Contact Marge.franzen@tlc4u.org for more information.
